Nutan Ekka has graduated in Geography Honors course from Gossner College Ranchi in 2002. She has an inclination towards the downtrodden especially those who weren’t aware of their rights. This is perhaps one of the reasons she chose to enroll herself in Degree Course in Law from Chhotanagpur Law College, Ranchi in 2004. During her stint in C.N. Law College, she made up her mind to pursue higher studies in law study.
The year 2008 saw Nutan chase her dream when she joined Ranchi College, Ranchi for post graduation in law. She was awarded Legum Magister from the P.G. Deptt. of Law, Ranchi University, Ranchi in 2010. She submitted her dissertation on Child Labour in part fulfillment of LL.M. program. Her specialization includes Insurance Law, Labour Law, Company Law and Law of Contract.
She has been associated with this College since December 2010 as full time faculty. Her areas of interest include Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Arbitration & Conciliation Law, Law relating to women & child and Labour Law.
She has attended one day Seminar cum Workshop on “Scope of legal Aid in Jharkhand “organized by Centre for Legal Aid Progamme of National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi on April 5, 2012.
She is pursuing Ph.D. Program on "Status of working women in the State of Jharkhand: An empirical study with special reference to the adjoining metropolitan cities of eastern India" from P G Department of Law, Ranchi University, Ranchi.
