Conditions of eligibility for taking admission to LL.B. (Hons) Semester - I

An applicant who has successfully completed Graduation under 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 or any other corresponding degree examination of any University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University with at least 45 percent of marks in case of general category applicants and 40 percent marks in case of SC/ST/OBC applicants in the aggregate shall be eligible for admission to LL.B.(Hons.) Sem-I Course. Admission shall be given strictly on merit subject to the conditions stipulated by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi and Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad.
The applicants who have undergone graduation through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for seeking such studies are not eligible for admission in the law course.
The applicants who have undergone Two-Year Degree Course before 1986
1are eligible to take admission to LL.B.(Hons.) Sem-I Course.
Open School or Open University students are also eligible for admission to LL.B.(Hons.) Sem-I Course provided they have attended at least one Regular Course.

Prohibition to Register in Other Courses |
The candidates admitted to the course, shall not be allowed to pursue any other course except certificate course in any Indian or foreign language or computer application being conducted by this university on part time basis in the evening or through distance learning with prior permission of the Principal otherwise his candidature for LL.B. 3-year (Honours) Course will be cancelled forthwith. |

Extract of university regulations relating to promotions in subsequent semesters |
(i) Students who have pursued a regular course of studies for any of the semesters and have appeared at the relevant examinations shall be eligible to be promoted to the next higher semester subject to university regulations.
A student of the First, Third and Fifth semesters will be promoted to Second, Fourth and Sixth semesters respectively irrespective of the number of courses in which he /she has failed to pass or failed to appear in the First, Third and Fifth semesters examinations as the case may be.
(ii) A student shall not be admitted to the Third Semester unless he/she has passed in at least Six compulsory papers of First and Second semesters taken together.
Provided further that no such student shall be admitted to Fifth Semester unless he /she has passed in at least Six papers of Third and Fourth semesters taken together.
Provided further that a student who fails to secure minimum pass marks in any paper / papers of First, Second, Third and Fourth semesters shall be required to appear in the examinations of the concerned back paper/papers of the concerned examination, as the case may be. |

Documents required at the time of admission to LL.B. (Hons.) Part-I: |

(i) Self Attested photocopies of the mark sheets and certificates of the following examinations:
(a) Matriculation
(b) Intermediate or 10+2
(c) Bachelor Degree
(d) Aadhar |
The students of Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University, Dhanbad shall submit these documents in one set and students of foreign universities shall submit the same in two set. |
(ii) 5 recent stamp size colour photographs.
(iii) Original college leaving certificate.
(iv) Original Migration Certificate, in case of foreign university students.
(v) Original Migration Certificate, in case of those BBMKU students also who have been issued Migration Certificate.
(vi) Original caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC. |
N.B. : At the time of admission all original documents shall mandatorily be produced for verification. |
Applicants from other Universities will have to submit the Original Migration Certificate for admission. They shall have to apply separately on payment of necessary fees to the Registrar, BBMKU, Dhanbad to get their names registered with the University within 21 days from the date of their admission.
If the applicant is a member of SC/ST/OBC he must mention it clearly at the time of submitting his application for his admission. If any statement entered by the applicant in the admission form is found, on enquiry, to be wrong or false his admission will be cancelled even after the admission of the applicant to the College and he will be expelled from the College and necessary action will be taken against him thereafter. |
